I recently ordered some sterling silver cuff links from Viv. I was absolutely delighted with them. The cuff links themselves were excellent quality and the engraving was superb. I have ordered many items from Viv over a long period of time and have never been anything other then extremely satisfied with the service, product and value for money. I can not recommend Viv highly enough.

I can't remember how I found Viv but I'm certainly very glad I did. I had rather an unusual request, I had lost my signet ring with the family coat of arms and I needed a replacement. The only fly in custard was I needed it to look a hundred years old, without a shine, a bit weathered with a couple of dents and for good measure I only had a photo of the coat of arms from a very old book! No small task to ask of a craftsman! I was essentially asking Viv to make something lovely, then bang it up and do it all from a photo in a book.

Viv did an incredible job and the proof of his expertise is that not one person has commented on my ring. Exactly the result I was after!

I was not the easiest client I'm sure, I couldn't actually remember particular details about the original ring, amazing when you think it had been on my finger for over 15 years! Viv was exceptionally patient, his advice was sharp, insightful and to the point and more importantly, fast.

Viv has my heartfelt appreciation for his work.

Anyone looking for a bespoke piece of jewellery, look no further, you could not wish for a more professional,helpful, patient or honest person.
Viv knows his trade, he knows what works and what doesn't and explains everything in detail.
He dealt with several phone calls and queries with patience,humour and honesty.
My husband is now in possession of a ring that is without doubt a quality piece of jewellery.

I was somewhat surprised to read a negative comment about the service provided by Viv. I required a bespoke ring for my daughter and had been looking for the right person to provide it for many months and luckily found Viv. The service was excellent, proposed designs were provided,a deposit was paid, the balance was required 10 days or so later before despatch, but only after I had been provided with photographs of the finished article. My daughter wanted substantial and sophisticated and that was certainly what she received.

Thank you for my bespoke and beautiful ring - it is just what I wanted and had envisaged for so long yet just hadn't found the right person to put my imagination into reality. For anyone wanting a signet ring Viv is the person you are looking for, his knowledge of this jewellery is apparent as soon as you make contact with him. If anyone is apprehensive about ordering without a face to face consultation I would encourage you to put your trust in Viv as you won't be disappointed - he has an amazing ability to understand the customer's ideas even from the most vague descriptions and produced a ring for me which is stunning. I wanted substantial and sophisticated and that is what I got.

I wanted a signet ring engraved with a family crest for my son's 21st birthday which was on Christmas Day. He had tried on a ring in a high street jeweller, where he is at university, away from home. He thought the head was too small and he sent me a photo of the ring on his finger. I found Viv's website and was very impressed with the weatlh of information on it. He also says that he is able to produce a bespoke product more cheaply than others due to low overheads. I spoke to Viv and immediately felt that I was in safe hands. I sent him the photo and an image of the crest, following which he gave me lots of helpful advice as to which option to choose. He then kept in regular touch with me with further advice concerning the crest and updates as to how the ring was progressing. I had only contacted him about ten days before Christmas and realised I was a bit late to get anything done by Christmas Day, particularly as this was effectively a bespoke product. However, Viv said he could probably get it done by Christmas Day even though he sounded as if he was under a lot or pressure. I was very pleased. The ring arrived the day before Christmas eve. He was also kind enough to include a stamp with the family crest on it. My son is delighted with the ring. I would not hesitate to recommend Viv.

Commissioning a bespoke piece of jewellery with Viv is not a run-of-the-mill customer experience, but just to be clear, that is a big positive in my book.

If you want an overpriced trinket without having to wait for it, then of course you can be like everyone else and go to any of the high street chains. If you want to be made to feel "special" and receive some smarm, champagne and an eyewatering bill to go with it, go to Boodles. But if you want something truly special without the bull, or the big bill, Viv is the man.

From the start, Viv dispenses with the flannel and gives the sort of forthright advice that is a breath of fresh air. And the quality of the product is nothing short of excellent, even for the fussiest customer (me). So far Viv had made two superb rings for me, and is in the process of making me some bespoke, heavyweight cufflinks. The process takes a while - remember this is a truly bespoke, handmade product, not something mass produced in a sweatshop - but quality is worth waiting for.

Just to add, having seen a disgraceful review from a lady who had the sheer audacity to complain because Viv, quite understandably, was not prepared to provide a bespoke product until it was paid for - his business ethics and practice are impeccable.

100% recommended.

I am amazed to read the negative comments from Caroline. All I can say is 'you cannot please all the people all of the time'. The other reviews in the guestbook echo my experience of dealing with Viv.
This is the second ring that he has made for my family and
I am absolutely delighted. The ring fits perfectly and the
engraved crest is amazingly accurate and detailed. Thank you so much Viv for all the time and trouble you went to with all the emails to make sure it was just what I wanted. I shall certainly tell my friends where I got the ring and hope to place another order myself some day soon. I have no hesitation in recommending Viv for his workmanship, customer service and speed of delivery.

The whole experience of getting a ring made by Viv has been a pleasure from start to finish. He has kept in touch throughout the process, offered advice/opinions when needed and kept me involved in finalising the design. And all of this during the busy Christmas period. I can't think of any way the contact and customer service could have been better.
